METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CRYSTAL PIECE, CRYSTAL PIECE, CRYSTAL RESONATOR AND CRYSTAL OSCILLATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a crystal piece capable of accurately controlling size and shape of a plurality of areas with positive/negative X axes reversed each other in forming the crystal piece with the areas.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a crystal piece comprises: dividing a quartz ore along a X plane orthogonal to an X axis of the ore to form a first split piece and a second split piece; bonding the first split piece and the second split piece so as to face positive/negative X-axes each other in a reverse direction to form a bonded body; forming the crystal piece including a first area formed of the first split piece and a second area formed of a second split piece in a plane obtained by cutting the bonded body in an X axial direction, and forming a twin.
