A pneumatic tire is also disclosed having an indicator of elevated tire temperature. At least one of the tire portions comprises a tire rubber composition having thermally-activated fragrant chemical. Further, a pneumatic tire is disclosed comprising a tire rubber composition having polymeric or resinous microcapsules containing at least one fragrant chemical.
