PURPOSE: A wire grid polarizer, a liquid crystal display device using the same, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to minimize a color change rate due to an observation angle and implement a slim device by removing a functional film for additional compensation. CONSTITUTION: A birefringence transparent substrate(110) is made of ultraviolet transmission materials. A plurality of first grid patterns(130) are formed on the upper side of the transparent substrate. A second grid pattern(150) is formed on the first grid pattern and is made of metal materials. An adhesive layer(190) is formed on the lower side of the transparent substrate or the upper side of the second grid pattern.
