A breaker pick retainer system for a breaker includes a holder 62 that defines a pick aperture 98 and a pin aperture 110, and a breaker pick 78 received in the pick aperture 98 of the holder 62 and including a pin receiving feature 126 aligned with the pin aperture 110. In use, a pin 80 is received within the pin aperture 110 of the holder 62 and seated in the pin receiving feature 126 of the breaker pick 78 for maintaining the breaker pick 78 within the holder 62. The breaker pick retainer system further includes a resilient plug 81 received within the pin aperture 110 for sealing the pin aperture 110. The plug 81 also inhibits removal of the pin 80 from the pin aperture 110. An installation system 130 may be installed in place of the pick 78 during installation of the holder 62. The installation system 130 includes a member 134 having a hexagonal portion which may be engaged by a spanner during installation.
