Torque observer on the basis of the measurement of output current and output voltages

The method involves connecting three-phase lines of an inverter to a drive motor. Current intensities (i1, i2) in two of the three-phase lines are measured by a current measuring unit. Voltages (u1-u3) on the three-phase lines are measured by a voltage measuring unit. A field frequency is determined from the measured current intensities or measured voltages by a computing unit. An estimated value (M ~) for torque is determined from the measured current intensities, the measured voltages and the determined field frequency by an estimating unit. An independent claim is also included for a drive device for a vehicle.
