PURPOSE: A privacy protection screen generating method of a digital photoprinter and a digital photoprinter using the same are provided to prevent persons around a user watching the screen while preventing inconvenience for the user looking a screen straight regardless of a sort of a displaying device. CONSTITUTION: A privacy protection screen generating method of a digital photoprinter is as follows. Original image data corresponding to photo images becoming displayed on a screen of a photoprinter is read(S110). Whether or not a privacy protection mode is selected by a user is determined(S120). When the privacy protection mode is selected, boundary pixels are selected among data pixels of the original image data(S130). Privacy protection image data is generated by a data-processing of the pixels except for the boundary pixels(S140). The privacy protection image data is displayed on the screen of the digital photoprinter(S150).
