PURPOSE: A falling stone prevention net using a wire rope is provided to maximally cut off falling stones and control ground failure by efficiently absorbing shock energy. CONSTITUTION: A falling stone prevention net using a wire rope comprises a pair of guide units(122), a pair of compression springs(121), shock absorbing pipes(123), pressure units(124), a center support unit(111), and support bars(130). The guide units integrate two strands of wire ropes(101) or separate the strands of the wire ropes from each other. The compression springs are installed between the guide units and elastically support the guide units. The shock absorbing pipes are installed between the guide units and the compression springs. The pressure units support the shock absorbing pipes. The center support unit couples the wire ropes to the gap between the compression springs and fixes the coupled wire ropes to the ground. The support bars band the wire ropes located at the compression springs using multiple bands(132).
