PURPOSE: An apparatus for cleaning the front side of a shopping cart is provided to reduce the cleaning time, personnel cost and to favorably maintain a sanitary state of shopping carts by successively cleaning a large quantity of shopping carts that are consecutively moving. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for cleaning the front side of a shopping cart comprises a main frame(10), a brush(300), turning arms(100), a cylinder(130), a brush driving part, and a water cleaning part(500). Shopping carts horizontally move on a conveyor through the space of the main frame. A brush is mounted on the exterior of a brush shaft(200) and cleans the front side of the shopping carts while rotating. The turning arms support both sides of the brush and are coupled to both sides of the main frame by hinges. In order for the brush to brush upwards towards the front side of the shopping carts, the turning arms vertically turn vertically in an upward movement to brush. The cylinder pushes upwards the turning arms to return the brush after cleaning. The brush driving part rotates the brush. The water cleaning part sprays cleaning water to remove the foreign materials stuck on the front side of the shopping carts. |
