CYLINDRICAL LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY

PURPOSE: A cylindrical lithium secondary battery is provided to remarkably improve battery lifetime at low temperatures by improving mobility of a lithium ion, to prevent short circuit and precipitation and to reduce surface resistance after storing at high temperatures for long term. CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical lithium secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly which consists of an anode, cathode and a separator inserted between the cathode and anode; and a nonaqueous electrolyte which comprises an electrolyte salt and an organic solvent and is injected into the electrode assembly. The organic solvent comprises 70 volume% of methyl propionate, 15 volume% or less of fluoroethylene carbonate and 5-20 volume% of ethylene carbonate. The anode has a loading level of 280 mg/25 cm^2 or more. The electrolyte salt comprises 1.15-1.6 M of LiPF6.
