PURPOSE: A welding device and a welding method are provided to reduce incidence of a strip breakage because shearing force applying to a welding part is dispersed as the welding part is gradually bent by rolls. CONSTITUTION: A welding method is as follows. The positions of a preceding steel sheet(200) and a following steel sheet(201) are adjusted and fixed. The rear end of the clamped preceding steel sheet is cut to make the length of a cut surface be longer than the width of the steel sheet. The leading end of the following steel sheet is cut to make a cut surface of the following steel sheet be engaged with the cut surface of the preceding steel sheet. The rear end of the cut preceding steel sheet closely moves to the leading end of the following steel sheet. The rear end of the cut preceding steel sheet and the leading end of the following steel sheet are welded. |
