Method for attaching a connector to a braided cable

<p>The method involves carrying out compaction of a stripped end portion of a stranded cable by applying ultrasound and/or by resistance welding of the stripped end portion. A metallic bonding portion of the connector is assembled with the end portion of the stranded cable. A form-fitting and integral connection between the bonding portion of connector and the end portion of stranded cable is produced using pressure by magnetic forming process.</p>
