PURPOSE: A method for reducing edge cracks of medium carbon steel plates in a hot rolling process is provided to prevent cracks in edge parts of medium carbon steel plates according to the temperatures and deformations. CONSTITUTION: A method for reducing edge cracks of medium carbon steel plates in a hot rolling process is as follows. The thickness of strips entering in a finish rolling process is reduced(S110). The progress speed of the strips in the finish rolling process is increased(S120). In the step for reducing the thickness of the strips, the thickness of the strips is reduced 4mm less than an existing thickness standard. In the step for increasing the progress speed of the strips, the progress speed of the strips is set to 30-50 m/min. |
