AN ANTI-EUMYCETES COMPOSITION AND A METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: An antifungal nanocomposite composition and a method for preparing the same are provided to improve itraconazole solubility and bioavailability. CONSTITUTION: An antifungal nanocomposite composition contains insoluble itraconazole, polysaccharide type levan, and organic modified-treated swelling phyllosilicate. The swelling phyllosilicate is montmorillonite, bentonite, hectorite, saponite, beidellite, nontronite, swelling mica, or vermiculite. A method for preparing the composition comprises: a step of filling between layers of phyllosilicate clay with an organic modifier with lipophilic property a step of filling the layers with itraconazole; and a step of mixing with the levan.
