PURPOSE: A hood for vehicles is provided to prevent a hood from being separated upward in case of a car collision accident, thereby protecting a pedestrian from an injury to his/her head. CONSTITUTION: A hood for vehicles comprises an outer panel(1), an inner panel(2), a lock reinforcement(3) fixed to the inner panel, and a striker(4) fixed to the lock reinforcement. The inner panel is arranged in the lower portion of the outer panel and fixed to the outer panel at the front of the hood by means of a hemming process. The lower portion of the inner panel is connected to the lower portion of the outer panel at the back of the area where the lock reinforcement is fixed. The inner panel includes a concave portion having a downward protrusion between the front of the hood and the connecting portion. The concave portion comprises a front wall portion, a rear wall portion(3f2), a side wall portion, and a bottom portion(3b). The lock reinforcement is fixed to the inner panel. The striker is fixed to the lock reinforcement.
