PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to prevent the corrosion of a case and a cap plate due to chemical reactions and to prevent the leakage of electrolyte. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly(10); a case mounting the electrode assembly; a cap plate(30) combined to the opening of the case; an electrode terminal(41,42) assembled to the terminal hole(H1,H2) of the cap plate; gaskets(51,52) installed on the inner circumference of the electrode terminal and the terminal holes; an insulator(61,62) which is installed between the cap plate and the electrode terminal on the outside of the gasket; and sealing members(71,72) which are continuously installed between the gasket and the insulator and on the one side of the gasket to correspond with the insulator.
