PURPOSE: A content location correction device for an augmented reality service and a method are provided to correct a location of augmented reality contents by using a reference marker and one or more virtual markers, thereby increasing matching accuracy of a reality world and a virtual world. CONSTITUTION: A reference marker generator(710) generates a reference marker based on real image information. A virtual marker generator(720) generates one or more virtual markers based on virtual space information. A marker comparator(730) selects an optimized virtual marker matched with the reference marker by comparing the reference marker and one or more virtual markers. A correction information generator(740) generates content location correction information based on the reference marker and the optimized virtual marker.
