PURPOSE: A position measurement method capable of instantly measuring a position using an ECGI(E-UTRAN Cell Global Identifier), a system for same and an apparatus thereof are provided to identify a transmitter type using a standard identification information defined in 3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project) and instantly measure a position through the identified transmitter type. CONSTITUTION: A position measuring unit(140) receives identification information of a terminal from a packet core. The position measuring unit analyzes the identification information. The position measuring unit checks transmitter type information. If the transmitter type information corresponds to a predetermined transmitter type, the position measuring unit calculates present position information based on parameters included in the identification information. The position measuring unit transmits the calculated present position information to the terminal.
