PURPOSE: A manipulation device and an image forming device including the same are provided to prevent unnecessary shortened registration by performing only the shortened registration of a setting item which is not able to be found without a help key. CONSTITUTION: A touch panel(201) displays screens including a manipulation screen including a help key and displays/detects input manipulation including the manipulation of soft keys including the help key. The help key guides the input of a designation condition of a setting item. When the manipulation of the help key is detected, a help unit(402) transits the display screen to a designation condition input screen. When the input manipulation of the designation condition, a shortening inquiry unit(406) inquires about the registration of a shortened key for directly performing the designation condition input screen corresponding to the setting item.
