The invention relates to compounds of the formula (I): (see formula I) in which R1 represents a(C6-C18)aryl radical substituted by and/or fused to a saturated or unsaturated 5- to 8-membered monocyclic or polycyclic nucleus optionally containing one or more hetero atoms chosen from O, N and S, the said nucleus itself being optionally substituted; R2 and R3 are a hydrogen atom or a (C6-C18)aryl radical; and R is a hydrogen atom or a C1-C10 alkyl radical; to their use for the treatment of dyslipidaemia, atherosclerosis and diabetes, to pharmaceutical compositions comprising them and to the processes for the preparation of these compounds.
