PURPOSE: A damage sensing device for a hot metal carrying ladle is provided to easily sense the existence of damage to a fire proofing wall by measuring a radiation discharging variation caused by damage to a measuring wall installed in a hot metal storing unit, thereby reducing time and costs for maintenance. CONSTITUTION: A damage sensing device for a hot metal carrying ladle comprises a measurement wall(20), a radiation detection unit(30), and a control unit(40). The measurement wall is installed along a fire proofing wall(13) comprised in an inner side of a hot metal storing unit and radiates radiation. The radiation detecting unit is installed in an outer side of the hot meal storing unit and measures the radiation radiated from the measurement wall, thereby transferring a measurement value to the control unit. The control unit determines the existence of damage to the measurement wall by receiving the measurement value and informs to a user by using a display unit(42).
