PURPOSE: A semiconductor device is provided to rapidly perform a delay locked operation after delay using a delay unit. CONSTITUTION: A delay unit(200) generates a delay clock by delaying an input clock with a preset value. A selecting unit(300) selects one of the input clock and delay clock and transmits the selected result. A delay locked loop unit(100) performs a delay locked operation using a signal transmitted by the selecting unit. A selecting control unit(400) controls the selecting unit by comparing the cycle of the input clock with the maximum delay value in a delay locked loop unit.
