PURPOSE: A surface treatment apparatus for a piston is provided to improve work environment by cutting off the exhaust of toxic gas generated when the surface of a piston is treated. CONSTITUTION: A surface treatment apparatus(900) for a piston comprises a base body(100), upper and lower bodies(200,300), upper and lower packing rings(410,420), a current applying member(500), and a power supply unit. The base body comprises an insertion hole(101), first and second seating portions(151,152), and a surface treatment liquid passage(130). The upper and lower bodies are settled in the first and second seating portions to be slidable and have first and second through holes, respectively. The upper and lower packing rings adhere to the ring portion of a piston. The current applying member composed of a conductive material is arranged in the surface treatment liquid passage and supplies currents to a surface treatment liquid. The power supply unit supplies currents to the surface treatment liquid by connecting an anode to the piston and a cathode to the current applying member.
