PURPOSE: A method for controlling a grinder for rolling equipment is provided to stabilize a surface quality of a strip, and to improve a surface of a working roll as the rotation speed of a memorial stone is changed according to the accumulated value of grinding times. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a grinder for rolling equipment comprises following steps. The accumulated value of grinding times of first automatic grinding or second automatic grinding that rotational speeds of a grindstone in grinding the front surface correspond to first and second RPM is checked(S1,S2). The rotational speed of the grindstone in grinding the front surface is changed when the accumulated value reaches a pre-set value. The grinding is performed at the changed rotational speed of the grindstone(S5). The first and second automatic grindings comprise first and second grinding modes, and a step grinding mode, respectively.
