PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a display device to perform an adjustment related to a display conformable to a supplied image whatever category of image supply device supplies the display device with the image.

SOLUTION: A display system 10 includes a projector 11 and a portable terminal 21 for outputting image data to the projector 11, with the former connected to the latter. Further, the portable terminal 21 includes: storage means for storing the image data; and output means for outputting the image data and display setup information for specifying a setup state related to a display of the image data. While the projector 11 includes: display means for displaying an image based on the image data; acquisition means for acquiring the image data and display setup information input from the portable terminal 21; display setup means for performing a setup related to displaying in accordance with the acquired display setup information; and display control means for causing the display means to display the image data acquired by the acquisition means in accordance with the setup.
