<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet process flue gas desulfurization apparatus and a method therefor, which are high in desulfurizing performance and low in operation costs by suppressing gas blow-by at an in-tower wall part by equalizing the amount of falling liquid amount distribution in the direction of horizontal cross-section in the spray part of the absorption tower of a wet process flue gas desulfurization apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In an absorption tower, the amount of spray liquid of absorption liquid per unit cross-section in the neighborhood of the in-tower wall part is more increased than that in the in-tower central part by using at least one spray stage among a plurality of spray stages installed in the flow direction of exhaust gas from which the uppermost stage is excluded as a target so that it is possible to equalize the amount of falling liquid amount distribution of absorption liquid, and to suppress gas blow-by in the neighborhood of the in-tower wall part. As means for increasing the amount of spray liquid, a large capacity nozzle whose spray quantity is large is installed in the neighborhood of the in-absorption tower wall part of the spray stage, and a small capacity nozzle is installed in the central part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
