<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device and a driving support method, which enable a user to intuitively recognize how to perform a steering operation for avoiding an obstacle around a vehicle of the user in order to avoid contact with the obstacle. <P>SOLUTION: When the vehicle of the user is likely to come into contact with an obstacle, a second steering angle for avoiding contact between the vehicle and the obstacle is calculated, and an angle image 630 (650) showing a rotational angle from a first steering angle being a current steering angle to the second steering angle and a direction image 620 (640) showing a rotational direction of steering from the first steering angle to the second steering angle are displayed, so that the user can recognize how much degree and which direction the user should perform a steering operation in, as concrete information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
