<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling moisture on a photoreceptor surface which causes an image blur in high humidity environments, the method realizing low cost and low power consumption and not harming the life of the photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: A non-contact thick film device 200 is placed in free space, that is, not surrounded by a heat radiator, in close proximity to the surface of a photoreceptor, to achieve uniform charging and uniform heating of the photoreceptor. Energizing conductive layers 206 and 208 charges the surface of the photoreceptor to a relatively high, substantially uniform potential and, at the same time, raises the temperature on the surface of the photoreceptor. A thin ceramic substrate 201 is allowed to float freely in a space to achieve critical temperature to minimize the creation of ozone. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
