<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator which is excellent in heat insulating properties and can ensure sufficient internal space. <P>SOLUTION: The refrigerator includes: a heat insulation box which is formed in a box shape by a heat insulation wall constituted by providing a heat insulation member between an outer board forming an outer box and an inner board forming an inner box, and has a housing space formed inside; and an electric wire or piping. The interior of the heat insulation wall is formed by arranging the heat insulation member so as to abut on the outer board and inner board, or formed by arranging the heat insulation member and a second heat insulation member which has lower heat insulating performance than the heat insulation member and a less plate thickness than the heat insulation member.
