<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve testing apparatus for an internal combustion engine in which deviation of valve operation caused by a response characteristic of a displacement gauge can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A valve testing apparatus for an internal combustion engine comprises a valve driving device including a valve drive piston and a valve drive cylinder capable of driving an exhaust valve or an intake valve of the internal combustion engine, a hydraulic unit which supplies oil pressure to the valve drive cylinder, a displacement gauge which measures displacement of the valve drive piston, and a control device which controls the valve driving device. The control device stores displacement gauge delay correction data for correcting delay of a displacement signal measured by the displacement gauge with respect to actual displacement of the valve drive piston, corrects a target lift waveform to drive the valve drive piston with the displacement gauge delay correction data and controls the valve driving device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
