<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid construction machine which is workable even when the torque of an electric motor cannot be generated because of a failure or the like of a motor-driven system and which is continuously and safely usable even when the motor-driven system cannot be repaired because of its deterioration or the like, and to provide a coupling device to be used for the same. <P>SOLUTION: The hybrid construction machine includes a revolution driving device which joins driving shafts of a hydraulic motor, an electric motor and a speed reduction mechanism, a control device for switching a between hydraulic and electric combined revolution mode to drive a revolving superstructure with the totalled torque of the electric motor and the hydraulic motor and a hydraulic independent revolution mode to drive the revolving superstructure with the torque of the hydraulic motor only, and the coupling device having a joint mechanism in common with the electric motor to be removed when a power control unit or a power storage device is in failure, and mounted as connecting means substitute for the removed revolving electric motor so as to be joined to the hydraulic motor and the speed reduction mechanism via the joint mechanism. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
