<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display and an image forming apparatus capable of reducing power consumption even after shifting from a standby mode to a normal mode. <P>SOLUTION: A display of an image forming apparatus comprises: a transmission-type display panel for displaying display data; a backlight unit which emits light from the back side of the display panel; a storage part which stores a plurality of display data to display in the display panel and a plurality of luminance data which are set in association with each of the plurality of display data; and a control part which reads out the display data to display in the display panel and the luminance data associated with it from the storage part, displays the display data which has been read out in the display panel, and controls the luminance of the backlight unit on the basis of the luminance data which has been read out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
