<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a board mounting structure having electronic components mounted on both surfaces of the board that prevents an electronic component at one side from restricting a mounting position for an electronic component at the other side and that enables satisfactory soldering. <P>SOLUTION: The board mounting structure has a surface mounting connector 10 and a chip component 20 respectively mounted by soldering on an upper surface 1a and a lower surface 1b of a board 1. On the upper surface 1a of the board 1, a groove 2 for pin insertion with depth not reaching the lower surface 1b is formed. The board mounting connector 10 mounted on the upper surface 1a of the board 1 has a connector housing 11 and a lead pin 12, and the tip of the lead pin 12 is positioned below the mounting surface 11a of the connector housing 11.
