LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of suppressing deterioration in yield, and a manufacturing method for the same.

SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate comprising: a switching element; an organic insulation film disposed on the switching element and having a first contact hole penetrating to the switching element; an island-like relay electrode formed on the organic insulation film and electrically connected to the switching element via the first contact hole; a common electrode formed on the organic insulation film and set apart from the relay electrode; an interlayer insulation film disposed on the relay electrode and the common electrode and having a second contact hole penetrating to the relay electrode at a position different from a position just above the first contact hole; and a pixel electrode formed on the interlayer insulation film, electrically connected to the relay electrode via the second contact hole, and having a slit facing the common electrode.
