<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear wheel steering system capable of surely returning rear wheels up to neutral states when steering of the rear wheels is locked before the rear wheels are returned to the neutral states. <P>SOLUTION: This rear wheel steering system 11 includes: a rear side rack shaft 40 that slides in a vehicle-width direction to steer a pair of rear wheels 3; a recess 61 provided in the rear side rack shaft 40 to allow a pin to fit in from the outside; and a pin member 63 that is advanced to be fitted into the recess 61 and that is retracted to be disengaged from the recess 61. The pin member 63 placed in an advanced state is fitted into the recess 61 to lock sliding of the rear side rack shaft 40 in a neutral position and the pin member 63 placed in a retracted state is disengaged from the recess 61 to cancel slide lock of the rear side rack shaft 40. The rear side rack shaft 40 has guide grooves 62 formed to be successively provided on both sides of the longitudinal direction of the rear side rack shaft 40 with the recess 61 as a center and to guide the pin member 63 placed in the advanced state to the recess 61. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
