<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production apparatus of glass capable of preventing bubble generation in a glass region near a platinum container without increasing cost, and to provide a method for producing the glass. <P>SOLUTION: In a glass production apparatus used for at least a part in a melting step, a clarifying step, a supplying step, a homogenizing step and a molding step, a glass layer is provided on the outside of a platinum container comprising platinum or a platinum alloy, and the glass layer contains 0.02-5 mass% polyvalent metal ion in terms of oxides. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
