SOUND PRODUCTION DEVICE AND VEHICLE PRESENCE INFORMING DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound production device which improves the sound pressure characteristics and thereby preferably producing an informing sound, and to provide a vehicle presence informing device using the sound production device.

SOLUTION: A sound production device 10 according to one embodiment includes: a body part 13, which has a diaphragm 11 generating an informing sound by being subject to vibrations and a box shaped housing 12 opening at one surface and forms a space K therein by the diaphragm 11 being provided so as to cover an opened surface of the housing 12; and an actuator 20 housed in the space K and providing vibrations to the diaphragm 11. The space K and an opening 15, communicating with the exterior and thereby achieving bass reflex effect, are formed at the body part 13.
