<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a client server system and a client device in the system capable of effectively preventing performance degradation of a whole system due to repeated execution of image conversion processing for a print file on a server device side, when performing print setting by a web application. <P>SOLUTION: A PC1 comprises image edition means D6 for editing image data (image data before change) to which a change instruction issued when print setting by a web application A is performed is not reflected, in order to generate image data (image data after change) to which the change instruction is reflected. Because the image data after change can be generated on the PC1 side even when the change instruction is received when the print setting by the web application A is performed, it is not required to repeatedly execute image conversion processing at a server 2 side.
