<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress expansion of a sheet between pressing members to achieve good aligning accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: A curl quantity of a bundle of sheets placed on an end-face stapling tray is detected (S104). If the curl quantity is smaller than a prescribed value, the bundle of sheets is pressed by simultaneously operating first to third rear-end presser levers (S106). If the curl quantity is the prescribed value or more and a stapling mode is one-point stapling, a first rear-end presser lever positioned at a central part on a side far from a stapling position is operated firstly to press the bundle of sheets, and then a third rear-end presser lever close to the stapling position is operated to press the bundle of sheets (S111). If the stapling mode is two-point stapling, the first rear-end presser lever positioned at the central part far from the stapling positions is operated firstly to press the central part of the bundle of sheets, and then the second and third rear-end presser levers respectively positioned on both end parts and close to the stapling positions are operated to press end parts of the bundle of sheets (S112). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
