<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for producing an iron core which can reduce the maximum load on a punching processor. <P>SOLUTION: A type number of a magnetic pole shaft part 22 with the widest width is defined as the first, and type numbers of the other magnetic pole shaft parts 22 are respectively defined as the number to be added by one in an order of the width becoming narrower. At this time, all of selection metal molds 45e-45g for shaft part corresponding to the odd numbers of type numbers in the magnetic pole shaft parts 22 are arranged on one side of the upstream and the downstream in the feed direction of a processed plate W, while all of selection metal molds 45h-45j for shaft part corresponding to the even numbers in the magnetic pole shaft parts 22 are arranged on the other side of the upstream and the downstream.
