STEREOSCOPIC IMAGE PHOTOGRAPHING APPARATUS, 2D IMAGE PHOTOGRAPHING METHOD THEREFOR, AND READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce focus adjustment time by effectively using a camera imaging part that is not used during 2D image photographing and to reduce erroneous operation.

SOLUTION: The apparatus has a control part that exerts control as described below. During an AF operation for a 2D image, the first focus lens 33 of a first imaging part 30 and the second focus lens 43 of a second imaging part 40 are controlled so as to move from different AF search start positions (NEAR end and INF end) to the middle position of an AF search range in opposite directions. The first focus lens 33 is moved to a lens position indicating the maximum value of an AF evaluation value obtained from each of image data from the first and second imaging parts 30 and 40.
