<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article for pet, capable of suitably covering the back side of urinary organs of a pet by a three-dimensional gather portion without straining the pet, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 for pet includes a top sheet 2, a back surface layer 3 and an absorbent 4, and has a rectangular shape having a first end portion 11 and a second end portion 12 opposing to each other and a first side portion 17 and a second side portion 18 opposing to each other. The absorbent article further includes: a first gather portion 14 that is disposed on the top sheet 2 side of the first side portion 17 and configured to stand upright from the top sheet 2; a second gather portion 15 that is disposed on the top sheet 2 side of the second side portion 18 and configured to stand upright from the top sheet 2; and a pair of releasably-joined portions 141 in which the first gather portion 14 is releasably-joined to itself while being folded outward in the width direction WD of the absorbent article 1 in the first end portion 11 and the second end portion 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
