<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of shortening hours required for returning from power-saving mode without incurring cost increase. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device has a power-saving mode in which power consumption is reduced more than that in normal mode. The image forming device includes an image forming mechanism for forming images on record media, a first memory part for storing setting data related to both the return program and the image forming mechanism used in returning from the power-saving mode, a second memory part having an image buffer area where image data generated from processed print data are stored, a control part for storing the return program and setting data stored in the first memory part into the image buffer area of the second memory part, and a power supply control circuit for supplying power to the first memory part while cutting electricity to the second memory part and the control part during operation in the power-saving mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
