摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain bright illumination by improving a light amount of wavelength-converted light. <P>SOLUTION: In the lighting device 100 including a light source portion 200 having an excitation light emitting edge 210 and a wavelength converting unit 300, the wavelength converting unit 300 is composed of an incident part 304 into which light emitted from the excitation light emitting edge 210 enters, a wavelength converting member 302 for wavelength-converting the excitation light incident into the incident part 304 into a desired wavelength light, a light translucent member 308 having a function to transmitting the excitation light and the wavelength-converted light, a reflection part 316 having a function of reflecting at least a part of the wavelength-converted light from the wavelength converting member 302, and an emission part 306 for emitting to the outside at least a part out of at least the part of the wavelength-converted light reflected by the reflection part 316.
