<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily add a new printer as a management object to a management device managing a plurality of printers. <P>SOLUTION: A printing system includes a plurality of printers and a management device. A new printer not taken as a management object by the management device, out of the plurality of printers includes a first existence notification signal output unit which outputs a first existence notification signal for notifying of the existence of the new printer, which includes specification information specifying the new printer. Each of existing printers taken as management objects by the management device, out of the plurality of printers includes a first existence notification signal reception unit for receiving the first existence notification signal and a specification information notification unit for notifying the management device of the specification information included in the first existence notification signal.
