<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink ejection apparatus in which influence of pressure increase due to air bubbles caused in a liquid supply route is eliminated, without using a complicated control mechanism and uselessly consuming ink. <P>SOLUTION: The ink ejection apparatus includes: a recording head 1 including nozzles for ejecting liquid droplets; a sub tank 101 for storing the liquid to be supplied to the recording head 1; an ink cartridge 76; a supply tube 16 interconnecting them; and a liquid feed pump 81 interposed in the supply tube 16. The supply tube 16 includes flexible films 202 located opposite a gravitational direction; and springs 201 for energizing the flexible films 202 outward from the inside of the supply tube 16. The liquid is repeatedly fed by the liquid feed pump 81 in both a first liquid feeding direction to feed the liquid from the ink cartridge 76 to the sub tank 101, and a second liquid feeding direction opposite the first liquid feeding direction. The liquid is repeatedly fed while swelling and denting the flexible films 202. The air bubbles are successively moved toward the cartridge 76, and finally, stored in the cartridge 76. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
