<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a job control device capable of appropriately controlling execution of a job while grasping a resource condition even if software, such as load-distributing software, to control an external apparatus cannot be applied; and a job control method. <P>SOLUTION: A job control device includes: a storage part for storing an operation state file indicating whether a job can be executed by a processing device comprised by an external apparatus connected to the job control device, with the file correlated with the processing device; a communication part for receiving a job execution request and a job execution instruction using the processing device from a client terminal or transmitting the operation state file to the client terminal; and a control part for determining whether the job can be executed in accordance with the execution request, and causing the communication part, if determined that the job can be executed, to transmit the operation state file to the client terminal to give authority to execute the job to be executed in accordance with the execution instruction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
