<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for use in monitoring operation of a rotating device. <P>SOLUTION: A processor is coupled in communication with a sensor 42, an input device, and a display device, and is programmed to calculate a plurality of time-based position values associated with a relative position of a component with respect to a predefined period of time. A plurality of orbital position values associated with a relative position of the component are calculated by the processor. The processor graphically presents at least one of a plurality of time-based traces corresponding to the calculated plurality of time-based position values and a plurality of orbit traces corresponding to the calculated plurality of orbital position values in response to a user selection input via the input device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
