<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting structure capable of being installed on a wall or ceiling of a building and reducing deterioration of appearance. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting structure includes: a light guide block 1 which has a long shape and emits light received at one end part in longitudinal direction to a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction; and a light source 70 which is a separate body from the light guide block 1 and is arranged opposed to the one end part of the light guide block 1. The light guide block 1 and the light source 70 are mutually separated from each other and are installed on the wall 80 or ceiling 90 of the building in free widening and narrowing of the separation distance, while the gap part 30 between the light guide block 1 and the light source 70 is covered with a cap 40.
