<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a good tundish coating material which even though a recycled aggregate of magnesia-carbon bricks is contained, avoids strength reduction, does not shorten the life of a tundish, and avoids deterioration in corrosion resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The tundish coating material contains a recycled aggregate of magnesia-carbon bricks, wherein the recycled aggregate has a grain size of <5 mm, the content of the recycled aggregate is 1-40% relative to the total blending quantity of the tundish coating material, and the amount of carbon contained in the magnesia-carbon bricks is <20%.
