PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a scale for associating an image which is stereoscopically viewed by an observer on a stereoscopically visible monitor with a real space .

SOLUTION: An image processing system of the embodiment comprises an acquisition part 145a, a determination part 145b and an output part 145c of a terminal device 140. The acquisition part 145a obtains a rendering condition which is used for generating a parallax image group from volume data. The determination part 145b sets association information which associates a space of a stereoscopic image with a space of a shooting position of the volume data on the basis of at least a parallax angle included in the rendering condition and a display size of the parallax image group, and determines on the basis of the association information a scale for converting a length of the vertical direction to a length on the space of the shooting position with respect to a display surface of a stereoscopic display monitor in the stereoscopic image space. The output part 145c controls output so that the scale is displayed on the stereoscopic display monitor in an overlapping manner with the stereoscopic image based on the parallax image group.
